Cardiac First Response (Community Level)

This course is a short course designed to teach you basic life support skills (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) so you can respond to someone who has collapsed. CFR is certified by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council on behalf of MDAL (ATI).

Participants will receive a Cardiac First Response certificate and card which is valid for two years.

Training Aim:

The aim of this course is to provide participants with basic life support knowledge and skills so they can respond to someone in a life threatening situation.

  • Adult Choking – Conscious and Unconscious

  • Infant Choking – Conscious and Unconscious
  • Airway Obstruction Adult, Child and Infant
  • Aspirin Administration for Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Skills Group Practice

Note:

Evidence of previous training must be provided on booking.

Refresher training needs to be completed before the expiry of the previous certificate.
